A tractor trailer rig lost control and ran off the roadway last week in Sharps Chapel taking out a large section of guard rail.
The accident took place on Sharps Chapel Road just past Brewer Hollow Road, where the rig went through the guardrail down an embankment.
Units from the Sharps Chapel Fire Department responded to the scene, where the driver was checked out and found to have no injuries. Firefighters were on scene until a wrecker removed the vehicle. Also a small fuel leak from the truck was contained by firefighters.
The accident was worked by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
